ARRI has announced a new 360° remote-controlled camera head that promises to give camera operators unlimited options for camera angles.
The 360 EVO Stabilized Remote Head provides dynamic, 360° camera rotation across the pan and roll axes, plus a 170° tilt axis range for smooth, dynamic movement, even for handheld shots.
The 360 EVO Stabilized Remote Head can seamlessly switch between rigs and support a wide variety of cinema camera configurations from cranes, dollies, vehicles, or handheld camera rigs through the use of its included brackets, cables, and SAM plates.

It can be controlled using the ARRI DRW-1 Digital Remote Wheel, or the ARRI DEH-2 Digital Encoder Head.
It runs on the same operating system as the ARRI Trinity 2 camera stabilizer and uses the RCP-2 Remote Control Pad for overall camera control.
The RCP-2 Control Pad has modular features for manual control options, and digital encoding, and has an integrated touchscreen for easy and intuitive menu navigation.
This makes for a rapid learning curve, easy setup, and smooth camera operation.
The 360 EVO Stabilized Remote Head can also be controlled wirelessly over the Internet through an authorized repeater cloud service. There is also LBUS connectivity for digital and metadata workflow operations.

Powering the 360 EVO Stabilized Remote Head are both 12 and 24-volt outputs, a 12-volt AUX power connection, a 12-volt tally, and other power and data ports for connection to external modules.
Camera operators can also add joysticks for integrated SRH remote control. Other features include 6G video, radio-controlled external module support, remote control, and metadata transfer and pass-through.

All connections are located at the rear of the camera head, which makes for quick and easy connection of camera power, talley, video passthrough, and metadata transfer.
