FXLION, a power solution manufacturer, is introducing new battery systems for both ends of the scale. The new FXLION 600 is a high-power 14.4V / 559Wh brick, joining the high-voltage 500 (26V / 489Wh). These are aimed at high-output lights but will readily support anything that can connect to its double D-Tap or V-Mount. The company’s Nano series gets a new generation of all-around compact batteries with various ports and even a wireless phone charging panel. Filmmaking is about so much more than the camera and lens. Audio gear, monitors, recorders, transmitters, and much more contribute to the never-ending gear puzzle. Above all is lighting. Though one may argue that some things are more important (subjective of course), lighting is by far the most energy-hungry. In recent years, we’ve seen various high-powered LED-COB fixtures enter the field. While extremely efficient compared with older tech, these behemoths still draw significant current. FXLION 600. But it’s not just its impressive 14.4V / 559Wh capacity that stands out. The 600 also includes some useful features for the outdoors. The battery is encased in a double chassis. This renders it very durable, withstanding bumps and falls. The FXLION 600 chassis is also sealed against the elements, scoring an IP54 rating.Under a constant shower at their NAB 2024 booth – FXLION 600. Two D-Tap outputs and a V-Mount make it compatible with most relevant gear. You can also mount one on your V-Mount camera if you’re into (very) long shooting sessions or have a large anamorphic lens to balance.FXLION Nano series. These are compact batteries that will feel at home with independent filmmakers, content creators, owner-operators, or one-person teams. They come in three capacities: 50Wh, 98Wh, and 150Wh, all with 14.4V voltage. Though small in size, they’re packed with features. They include one or two D-Tap outputs, a USB-A, and a USB-C. On the top, quite literally, there’s a wireless charging pad for your mobile phone. This feature set should cover various needs associated with content creation, hybrid shooting, etc. FXLION Nano wireless charging.
