Portkeys has released a new budget-friendly director’s monitor, the Portkeys HS8, which offers directors the ability to view 1080P HD footage from a 4K 60p video signal.
The monitor supports custom LUTS and excels in brightness when used outdoors.
The Portkeys HS8 is an eight-inch HD monitor that can receive 4K video signals at up to 60 frames per second via HDMI.

It also supports SDI at up to 1080p at 60 frames per second and has the option for wireless reception through an optional dual-band CineView wireless module.
With 1100 nits of brightness, the monitor ensures excellent viewing in bright, ambient conditions. It also boasts 10-bit color calibration for accuracy.
The company states that this calibration ensures a consistent color gamut when using multiple screens on set and eliminates color banding.
