Victoria’s Secret Pistachio Creme Fragrance Mist Review

Victoria’s Secret Pistachio Crème Fragrance Mist is one of four new, limited edition scents from the Cafe Victoria Collection that launched a few weeks ago. As we all well know both Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato and Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’62 have given birth to an entire range of different pistachio perfumes and fragrances that are now dominating the market. It’s so odd in some ways that we love fragrances like Cheirosa ’62 and the scent is readily available to us but we’re still out here hunting for dupes of it. Why is that? I know I do it constantly. Sol de Janeiro already perfected the scent. There’s absolutely nothing anyone can do to make it better than the original so, why am I constantly drawn to new pistachio fragrances in the hopes they’ll smell like it?
When Victoria’s Secret Pistachio Creme Fragrance I immediately though this is either going to smell like Yum Pistachio Gelato or Cheirosa ’62 and I was pretty wrong.

Victoria’s Secret Pistachio Creme is available in a Fragrance Mist and Lotion. I got mine for I think $4 or $5 thanks to Victoria’s Secret Rewards as well as a sale they had recently with 40% off. Victoria’s Secret says it’s a vanilla glaze solar musk with notes of pistachio, caramel, and vanilla. It isn’t a dupe of Cheirosa ’62 nor does it smell anything like Yum Pistachio Gelato 33. I will say if you want to do a little layering it’ll smell beautiful with Cheirosa ’62.
It isn’t a nutty fragrance in the least and goes quite heavy on the vanilla. It has a sweet vanilla scent that reminds me of Victoria’s Secret Bare Vanilla but with a twist of the lightest touch of warm caramel and a little hint of pistachio. On first mist it has this sweet pistachio note that dries down to a warm, cozy caramel vanilla. Initially, you do get that solar musk they promise which may make you wonder what I mean. Describing a solar scent is a little difficult but basically it gives you that feeling of the warmth of the sun or even the setting sun! How you can capture that in a fragrance is beyond me but Pistachio Creme does give a bit of that tropical sun feel but without the tropical cake melting in your hand vibe you get from Cheirosa ’62.
As I said, it isn’t a dupe for Cheirosa ’62 but they could be very long twice removed cousins from a hundred years ago. They’ll pair very lovingly together should you want to mix them. Pistachio Creme does give off that tropical vibe but without being as complex as ’62 or as heavy with the caramel. It’s a beautiful fragrance that’s very Summery but will also, work well into the Fall months.
I loved this one and think I might grab a backup! Victoria’s Secret Pistachio Creme Fragrance Mist is available now!
