Blackmagic taunts Adobe with “No AI Training” notice

With the rise of AI and Adobe’s recent troubles, a lot of consumers are losing confidence in the good faith of the companies that make the software they love and use. They want companies to come out and be honest about using their data to train AI.

Well, one company that’s come out and emphatically said that no, your data is your data, and we won’t use it to train AI is Blackmagic Design. It’s not much of a surprise they’ve released something on the topic, but how they’ve done it is quite amusing.

Blackmagic Design – No AI Training

Instead of issuing a general press release in response to what’s floating around in recent news, the company put the notice right up on the Blackmagic Cloud login page. The section declares loudly and proudly:

No AI Training

We acknowledge that you own your uploaded media. Blackmagic Cloud is not a trick to access your media for AI training. Your media is private and won’t be used to train AI. So you can work with security, knowing your ideas won’t leak publicly via AI.

Blackmagic is coming right out and preventing any rumours before they even start. They’ve stated in no uncertain terms that they are not using customer media to train their AI. So your projects are all safe and secure.

They’re certainly being very proactive about all this, unlike Adobe, which has been dragging its heels and upsetting employees since this whole thing started. On top of all that, they’re also facing a lawsuit over claims that Adobe hides expensive fees in the fine print if you want to cancel your account.

No such worries with Blackmagic, though. There’s no doubt about their promise.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
