The Hero13 Black’s compatibility with GPS and performance stickers allows for metadata overlays, providing immersive viewing experiences with real-time data like speed, altitude, and G-force, reminiscent of professional broadcasts.
Redesigned for Endurance
Internally, the Hero13 Black has been re-engineered to house a new 1900 mAh Enduro battery, offering up to 1.5 hours of continuous recording at maximum resolution and 2.5 hours in full HD.
Additionally, a new optional magnetic power cable kit and Contacto Magnetic Door maintain the camera’s weatherproofing while providing easy access to power.
GoPro has also introduced a Magnetic Latch accessory, allowing users to quickly swap the camera between mounts, streamlining the process for on-the-go shooting.

Introducing the HB Mod Lens Ecosystem
A standout feature of the Hero13 Black is the new HB Mod lens system, offering a trio of interchangeable lenses and a set of ND filters.
The Ultra Wide Lens Mod extends the camera’s field of view to 177°, enabling versatile framing options for various aspect ratios from cinematic widescreen to social media-centric vertical video. All from the same video file.

The Macro Lens Mod allows for precise focusing as close as 4.3 inches, making it perfect for detailed close-ups, but can also be deployed for capturing the wider world around.
With a dedicated focusing ring, the Macro Lens Mod is fully adjustable in the depth of field and bokeh. A first for GoPro.

The Anamorphic Lens Mod captures a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio with minimal post-processing required, while the ND Filter 4-Pack offers customizable options for controlling light exposure.
These lenses are automatically detected by the Hero13, which adjusts the settings accordingly, though users can also manually fine-tune them. The camera will also make recommendations as to which ND filter is best for the ambiently lit conditions.

This model records in 4K, 2.7K60p, and full HD with a 16:9 aspect ratio optimized for YouTube, and features a built-in LCD touchscreen. Though it doesn’t have Hypersmooth built in, users can apply GoPro’s image stabilization through the GoPro Quik app.
