At IGN Live, publisher Apogee Entertainment debuted a new trailer for the upcoming Littlelands, a “cozy” action-adventure game with simulation elements.Developed by Rafael Martin and Kyle Creamer, Littlelands features an adorable, Animal Crossing-like world that sees you take on a big, Zelda-esque journey. It begins with a simple goal: repair a PC. However, that basic plan transforms into a mysterious adventure.Along the way, you can drip out your protagonist with dozens of appearance options, talk with oddball neighbors, and traverse varied locations, such as deserts and thick jungles.
IGN Live Day 2 Recap
Littlelands also contains dangerous dungeons filled with bats and skeletons. Survive the encounters, and you’ll excavate relics and treasure.Farm-sim elements factor into the gameplay, too. You plant wild seeds, wrangle up wildlife, and capture rare bugs and fish. In addition, you can trade exotic plants and animals at the Flower Shop or display fossils at the local museum. As you might suspect from the cutesy graphics, Littlelands is a lightweight PC game. To play it, you need a PC with at least an Intel Core i3 CPU; AMD Radeon HD 6970 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 GPU; 4GB of RAM; 4GB of available storage; and the Windows 7 operating system.“Littlelands has been a labor of love, and our vision for the game has grown well beyond what we originally thought was possible,” says Rafael Martín, founder of HyperMegaPixel. “While the birth of my first child has taken priority in my life, which postponed our demo release plans, we’re beyond grateful for our supporters who have taken notice of Littlelands during development. This is just the first step into the expansive world of Littlelands, and we hope adventurers catch the bug and follow us into the future.”
