If Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’71 Body Cream goes away the first thing I’ll do is sob on the bathroom floor and the second thing I’ll do is boycott Sol de Janeiro till they bring it back! Oh my god! I love it. As you already know Sol de Janeiro FINALLY released a Cheirosa 71 Body Cream but sadly, they claim it’s available for a limited time only. My heart is breaking. That being said, we all know Sol de Janeiro has claimed a lot of items are limited-edition only to bring them back permanently. I’m just hoping and praying that’ll be the case with this body cream! But I was not taking any chances and I hauled two jars and trust me, it’s very tempting not go back for more.
Like most people my favorite Sol de Janeiro scent is ’62. What’s not to love about it? It’s the perfect tropical gourmand! But ’71 is absolutely a love of my life as well! In someway, it’s an even better gourmand than ’62 with it’s delicious notes of Caramelized Vanilla, white chocolate, toasty macadamia nuts, and tonka bean!
It’s the warm, ooey gooey caramel with delicious vanilla and a warm, toasty, nutty finish. The caramel swirls around the vanilla and creates a comforting gourmand scent bubble and as the scent dries down it comes in with a toasty, warm nuttiness. It reminds me of a confectionery shop after they’ve made fresh fudge or chocolate. It’s delicious.
The body cream is thick and creamy but not as thick as the original Bum Bum Cream! It also, seems to absorb faster. I’m not a fan of the gold mica in the mix but lucky enough, it’s barely noticeable on my skin. I love shimmer but not really into it in my body care.
The best part about this is the fact it creates a huge scent bubble around you and of course, it allows the body mist to linger longer. Lord knows, Sol de Janeiro Body Mists are lovely but my body chemistry eats them up! Their body creams are AWESOME and allow the body mists to linger and wear longer. This worn alone actually creates a gorgeous scent bubble all its own but when paired with the body mist you’ll smell delicious and edible all damn day! It’s very strongly scented.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 71 Body Cream is a ten out of ten and a must have for lovers of the body mist. If you want to smell like a snack this will get you there.
