If your router lacks the oomph to disperse Wi-Fi to the further reaches of your home, you have a few options. A mesh Wi-Fi system replaces your router and adds an additional satellite or two to give you more square feet of Wi-Fi coverage, but those can be costly. For a more cost effective option, look no further than a WiFi range extender which, like the name implies, amplifies and rebroadcasts your signal, thereby giving you more range.

The RE450 is an 802.11ac range extender with a max data rate of 450Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1,300Mbps on the 5GHz band. Instillation is as simple as plugging it into an outlet that’s close to your router and then pressing the WSP button on both your router and your range extender. After, you can move your extender to an area that’s better suited for it—ideally half way between the router and the area to which you’re trying to extend coverage.
