About Urban Decay
In case you are new to makeup, Urban Decay is a cruelty-free beauty brand and they’re owned by the L’Oreal conglomorate. They’ve revamped almost every single product to be vegan. The Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks are 100% vegan.
About my Skin Tone
I’m 45 years old with dry sensitive skin and rosacea. I have very fair neutral cool to muted yellow olive undertones. I wear Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydromaniac Tinted Moisturizer in shade 10, Beautyblender Bounce Skin Tint in Light 1, Missha BB Cream 17, Salt New York Sneaky Balm in N13, and Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder in Shade 1. See fair skin foundation swatches here.
I picked UD Vice Lip Bond lipstick hues that I thought would flatter my very fair neutral cool skin tone and the shades below do that! They’re gorgeous!
OG Backtalk Glossy Lipstick

OG Backtalk is described as a mauve pink nude. OG Backtalk is my perfect MLBB (my lips but better) color and it can be worn with anything. If I had to pick just 1 MLBB for the rest of my life, it would be OG Backtalk.
Safe Word Glossy Lipstick

Safe Word is described as a sandy nude. It’s a perfect warm neutral for my skin tone. I really can’t go much warmer than Safe Word! It has a lot of peach and beige hues to me.
No Restraints Glossy Lipstick

No Restraints is described as a bold purple. It looks like a magenta pink with purple undertone on me. It’s a very pretty color but not one that my brain registers as purple. It’s pink to my eyes, but definitely a color that I would wear with purple eyeshadow! See my purple goth makeup ideas for inspiration!
Shock Value Glossy Lipstick

Shock Value is described as a neon pink. I love a bright neon pink! It looks great with my Manic Panic Pink Warrior hair! I regularly get asked if I’m Draculaura these days.
Unbreakable Glossy Lipstick

Unbreakable is described as a power red. It’s a neutral cool red on me. I love this color but it’s not as shiny as the other colors I own. It needs more gloss to it. I would describe Unbreakable as a classic cool-toned red.
Raw Footage Glossy Lipstick

Raw Footage is described as a merlot red. It’s a beautiful deep burgundy wine red to me. While it’s missing some of the vampy purple hues that I normally adore in a burgundy shade, the juicy shine makes up for it! I love how lush it looks on my lips.
Yes, I’m into deep, vampy, juicy, lush dark  hues for Autumn. Shop my stash for Autumn palette inspiration!
Indie Sleaze Glossy Lipstick

Indie Sleaze is described as a pure black. Of all the lipsticks I purchased from the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipstick line, this one is the only one that needed 2 coats to be opaque. I suspect it is like this to make it easier for ombre lips and lip art.
I do wonder about the name Indie Sleaze. Is it referencing those of us who love indie makeup for the extra pigmentation? Regardless, I love black lips and I adore this lipstick! If you’re in the market for a new black lipstick, this is the one to grab.
How to Apply
Unlike your typical liquid lipstick formulas, the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipstick requires a tiny bit of prep work. Step one, you need to shake your UD lipstick for at least five seconds to activate the color and formula.  Shake it, baby, shake it! Step two, artfully apply your lipstick to your lips. Step three, set a timer on your phone for four minutes and hold your mouth open. At the end of the four minutes, you’re ready to go!
Product Claims

Vegan Formula
Up to 16 Hours of Wear
Highly-Pigmented
Transfer-resistant and food and drink resistant

In my experience, the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks live up to all four of these claims. The ingredients are vegan, not derived from animals and not tested on animals. The lipsticks wear up to 16 hours. In my experience they’re going strong at 12 hours. They’ve got great pigmentation and the transfer-resistant formula is awesome. I wish more products actually lived up to their claims like the UD Vice Lip Bond glossy lipsticks do.
How long does the lipstick last?

The Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks last at least 12 hours. If I were to eat very oily foods I might need to touch up after I eat, but, as an example, I went out a few weeks ago wearing Indie Sleaze, the pure black, to a friend’s birthday dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. The food had a decent amount oil in it, yet my lipstick looked perfect after eating and at the end of the night.
I sometimes will need to touch up at the center of my lips, but that happens with most lipsticks; I see minimal transfer onto my water bottles, hands, and Dave.
Do they dry out the lips?
No, not in my experience. My lips don’t peel, bleed, crack or flake after using the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks. Some liquid lipstick formulas have made that happen.
How’s the pigmentation?
The Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks are extremely pigmented. The exception to this is Indie Sleaze. It takes about 2 layers or a lip liner to be fully opaque. Overall, They’ve got great pigmentation and intense color. And I love the glossy lip! I hadn’t worn a glossy lip in years until these lipsticks. Such gorgeous shine.
Is it transfer proof?
The Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks not 100% transfer proof but they are transfer-resistant! I’m comfortable saying this is 97% transfer-proof in my experience.
How do I remove it?
Use an oil cleanser to remove the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks or a damp makeup eraser. That’s all you need!
Can you layer these with other lip products?
Yes, you can use a lip liner underneath and you can put a duochrome eyeshadow on top of the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks. I do this frequently!
I find the formula easy enough to use that I can apply these without a lip liner, which I prefer to do 95% of the time.
Is it worth the $27 price point?
In my opinion the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks are definitely worth it! Although it’s even better if you can buy it on sale. I have zero regrets over purchasing half of these full price. The other half I bought on sale.
I am in love with these, as attested by the fact that I’ve bought 6 of them. In my experience they’re an incredible comfortable long wearing liquid lipstick formula.
So who is this for?
If you have chronically dry lips and you’re looking for a glossy long wear liquid lipstick, the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks is it! It is gorgeous! I love that I get at least 12 hours of wear with the colors I own. If you’re looking for a long wearing, transfer resistant lipstick, this is for you! I genuinely feel like this lipstick is a fit for most people who love to wear a glossy, or at least satiny finish.
Future colors
I would love to see a few key colors offered in the Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipsticks line. One, a super bright neon red similar to Melt Bellastona liquid lipstick or Kaleidos Fiamma. It would also be great to see a deep blackened teal blue. And of course, I would love to see a deeper, neutral to cool toned purple.
