New Windows 11 Laptops at Best Buy Show What Copilot Can Do For You

Operating system updates are usually incremental things. Little performance tweaks, security fixes, maybe moving the Start Menu around a little bit, or making icons look different; stuff that’s nice to have but not life-changing.Microsoft is swinging for the fences with the new Windows 11, though. The company is betting big on artificial intelligence with the introduction of Copilot, a new generative AI assistant that replaces Cortana. It’s the first system of its type built as an integral part of the OS, informing every aspect of how you interact with your computer. We put Copilot through its paces and were legitimately impressed with its ability to create images, summarize text, interpret voice commands, and more. Like all of these systems, it will only get better with time. What can Copilot do for you right now? Lots. If you’re a gamer, the Auto Super Resolution functionality can give DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games faster framerates. Feuding with your uncle on Facebook? Use generative erase in Windows Photos to wipe him out of family pictures. In a lot of Zoom meetings? Live captions and automatic translation will save your life. If you really want to push the envelope, optional “skills” give Copilot access to other apps on your machine and services like Doordash. And the new Recall feature may change how you search for files forever, storing everything you do on your PC for AI to assist with.Whether you’re an AI skeptic or a true believer, there’s no denying that this technology is here to stay. Smart money is on getting familiar with it early to gain experience, no matter your career. Want to try this out for yourself? Best Buy has some amazing offers on new hardware that’s optimized to run Copilot. Right now, only devices made with Qualcomm processors will ship with AI on board, so Intel and AMD fans are out of luck. There are still plenty of options to choose from, though. Here are three of the most attractive systems. They’re not discounted, but if you’re a Best Buy Plus or Best Buy Total member, you can get a free 50″ TV with purchase.

With a whip-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus ten-core processor under the hood, this is the most powerful Surface Pro tablet yet. We haven’t completed a full review yet, but our hands-on session with the devices had us extremely impressed, saying that the new OLED display delivers better contrast and brightness than ever, and the new Surface Flex Keyboard has Bluetooth connectivity so you can use it without a physical connection to the tablet for optimal ergonomics. An integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU gives a little more lifting power. This configuration comes with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, as well as Copilot-enabled Windows 11 installed.

We generally rate Lenovo laptops pretty highly, with special praise going to their solid construction, responsive keyboards and touchpads. So even though we haven’t had a chance to test the new Yoga Slim 7x, it’s a safe bet that this will be a top midrange pick for Copilot-friendly laptops this year. The 360-degree hinge lets you use it as a tablet or laptop, and the 14.5″ OLED 3K screen is brilliant. This one also runs off of a Snapdragon X Elite processor with integrated GPU, with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Really feel like making a big commitment to the new world of artificial intelligence? Microsoft has you covered with a big-screen portable that has the juice. The potent Snapdragon X Elite processor with integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU is designed for power users, delivering speedy responses and exceptional multitasking. The 15″ FHD PixelSense Flow screen has 600 nits of brightness and refreshes at 120HZ. This loadout comes with a beefy 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. The casing is durable but lightweight aluminum and the battery is good for up to 22 hours of operation.Check out all of Best Buy’s Copilot-enabled laptop deals here.
