YouTuber Arrested For Stunt Where Fireworks Were Shot From a Helicopter

A California man was arrested earlier this week for a video he shot and uploaded to YouTube that involved shooting fireworks from an in-flight helicopter. The video’s director, Suk Min Choi was charged with one count of planet of an explosive on an aircraft after he directed the video, which involved two women in a helicopter repeatedly shooting fireworks at a Lamborghini. Choi shot the video last year and had also not acquired filming permits for its creation, according to a press release posted on the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. The video is aptly named “Destroying a Lamborghini with Fireworks” and involves Choi pressing a button labeled “fire missiles” while two women in a helicopter repeatedly shoot fireworks at a Lamborghini.Choi also didn’t do himself any favors from a legal standpoint when he posted the video. Throughout the video, he makes several references to himself coordinating the shoot, including saying he directed it. He also thanks a camera company at one point for “being part of my crazy stupid ideas.”
